These soft shell crabs arrive cleaned and frozen. If thawing crabs, thaw under refrigeration before cooking. DO NOT THAW OR COOK IN PACKAGE. Cut film to remove crabs.
Unwrap soft shell crabs then thaw by leaving them covered in the refrigerator. Pat down with a paper towel to dry. Sprinkle soft crabs with salt and pepper, or season with Old Bay for authentic taste. Coat crabs with flour (or substitute) and sauté crabs in a hot frying pan in a small amount of cooking oil or butter until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side or until internal temperature reaches 145°F.
