Pork Shank Dinner

$99.95

This dinner is a hearty, epicurean delight. It opens with classic Spanakopita, handmade and loaded with spinach and Feta cheese. The star of the meal is a rich Braised Pork Shank, slow cooked in a mushroom sauce and finished with veal stock and white wine. The pork falls off the bone, and the sauce is a savory delight. It's paired with a Vegetable Potato Medley, featuring asparagus, green beans, and mushrooms. Dessert is a classic Chocolate Swirl Cake. You'll savor every bite. Serves 4.

Our Pork Shank Dinner includes:

2 - Braised Pork Shanks (21-24 oz. each): rich, meaty pork shanks slowly braised in a savory mushroom sauce finished with wine and spices for a profound complex flavor
1 - Vegetable Potato Medley (1 lb.): par-fried potato rounds mixed with tender asparagus, button mushrooms, and green beans, then flavored with oil, parsley, and garlic
18 - Spanakopita: loaded with spinach, feta cheese, a hint of aromatic spices and wrapped up in flaky Phyllo dough
1 - Chocolate Swirl Cake: tender chocolate cake filled with a sweet cream icing

Braised Pork Shanks: Thaw in the refrigerator overnight.
Preheat oven to 375°F (Convection Oven 350°F). Remove all packaging from the pork shanks. Place the pork shanks in an oven-safe pan and cover with aluminum foil. Place the pan on the center rack of the oven and heat for 15 minutes. Carefully remove the pork shanks from the oven and remove the aluminum foil. Return the uncovered pork shanks to the oven to continue heating for another 15-20 minutes. Carefully remove the pork shanks from the oven and place them on a serving dish. Allow 3 minutes to rest before serving.

Vegetable Potato Medley:
Skillet: Cook from frozen. Preheat skillet on medium heat. Add frozen vegetables and cook for 4-5 minutes without stirring. After 5 minutes continuously stir and cook for another 5-6 minutes.
Microwave: Place in a microwave safe bowl and cover. Microwave on high for 6-7 minutes, stirring halfway through. Let rest for 2-3 minutes before serving.
To ensure food safety, cook to 165°F throughout.

Spanakopita: From frozen bake in a preheated 375°F conventional oven for 16-18 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F as measured by use of a thermometer.

Chocolate Swirl Cake: Refrigerate or freeze until ready to eat. Thaw 30 minutes before serving. Refrigerate or freeze any leftover cake roll.
