Overview

Deeply satisfying, this is a dish worth planning a dinner party around. Rich, meaty pork shanks are slowly braised in a savory mushroom sauce until they fall off the bone. The sauce is finished with wine and spices for a profound complex flavor. You just can't make this at home, one of our best sellers. Each 25 oz. shank serves 1-2.

Thaw in the refrigerator overnight.

Preheat oven to 375°F (Convection Oven 350°F). Remove all packaging from the pork shanks. Place the pork shanks in an oven-safe pan and cover with aluminum foil. Place the pan on the center rack of the oven and heat for 15 minutes. Carefully remove the pork shanks from the oven and remove the aluminum foil. Return the uncovered pork shanks to the oven to continue heating for another 15-20 minutes. Carefully remove the pork shanks from the oven and place them on a serving dish. Allow 3 minutes to rest before serving.
