Rufus Bette-Bennett, the first catalog featured Mackenzie's own brand of Scottish Smoked Salmon and other epicurean specialties including Finnan Haddie, Kippers, Organic crumpets and English Duchy biscuits.Unlike years past, there exists today more interest in British food than ever before, with celebrity chefs and the internet creating demand and raising awareness of the diversity of foods produced in the UK. In recent years, articles published in culinary publications have heralded English cuisine, naming fourteen British restaurants among the 50 best restaurants in the world.
