First you want to make sure that your shrimp are completely thawed. Thaw in the refrigerator over night. Make sure to rinse your shrimp under cold water before you cook them. Next you will need about a 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar (this helps them peel easier) and a tablespoon of salt for each pound of shrimp you are cooking.
For every pound of shrimp you are cooking add about 4 to 6 cups of water.Next add your raw shrimp, salt and vinegar to the water. Make sure the water covers all the shrimp.Place the pan of shrimp on the stove and turn your burner on high. Stir your shrimp to make sure they are not stuck together
Keep stirring occasionally, while cooking your shrimp. You know that your shrimp are about done when you start to see them float.
Next you need to drain your cooked shrimp in a colander and put them in a ice bath to stop the cooking. Stir them around to get them all chilled down
